Longhouse
The longhouse, originally named the Extended Cabin, has been created for larger groups. With two bedrooms arranged in a linear manner, the Longhouse is equally at home as a family retreat or as a basecamp for a week away with friends. The glazing throughout the cabin draws natural light inside, combining that with the vaulted ceilings creates a feeling of spaciousness. Through the dark exterior cladding, the Longhouse will recede into its environment, emphasising the nature surrounding the dwelling. Following our ethos of sustainability, the Longhouse has been designed meticulously to achieve carbon neutral status throughout its whole lifespan.

By losing the need for permanent concrete foundations, if the cabin ever requires to be moved or reaches the end of its life, Caber Cabin’s low impact foundation system allows the land to return to its natural state. -
